PRINCE AND I BY PETER ELLIS
Imagine waking up every day surrounded by wild animals in Kenya!
Peter and his brother David live in Nairobi National Park, so their life is already one giant adventure. But Peter’s world gets even wilder when a tiny, newborn lion cub suddenly becomes part of the family.
The family names the cub Prince after a famous royal visitor, and the young lion quickly becomes Peter’s best friend! The cub is soon at the centre of family life, being bottle-fed, playing and wrestling with Peter and David in the garden, making friends with Thunder the dog, and chasing cheeky chickens around the garden.
Prince brings non-stop laughter and big trouble to Peter’s house. As Prince grows from a clumsy cub into a huge, powerful lion, Peter faces the hardest hurdle of having a wild best friend: saying goodbye.
Prince and I is an exciting true story about childhood freedom and an unforgettable
friendship between a boy and his lion!
